Mitch Lake of Firehouse/WIFI Irrigation in the Mayfield Village Men's league has three-peated as the BGSD Player of the Year. Over the course of the season, Lake led his team to the #2 BGSD Team Ranking (just missing out on 3-peating as BGSD Top Team) and put up these incredible numbers:

- 24 GP/.777 BA/36 HR/96 RBI/75 R/12 BB/2.191 SLG

Lake is the second 3-time winner (Aaron Krieger '19-21), and remains the only person outside of Krieger to have won the award since 2018.

Marshall Carpet is BGSD Team of the Year!

Marshall Carpet (23-3) of the Euclid M/W D1 Men's League has earned the title of BGSD Team of the Year in 2024. Marshall led their league with an average of 18.5 runs per game and a team batting average of .597. Before losing their final two (meaningless) games of the regular season, Marshall was an even more impressive 23-1 with a 19-game winning streak. Despite the rough regular season ending, Marshall held off the two-time reigning BGSD Team of the Year Firehouse of Mayfield Village (which is comprised largely of the same players as Marshall) in the closest final BGSD rankings since 2012.
